Vine Pruning-Derived Biochar for Agronomic Benefits
نویسندگان
چکیده
The agronomic benefits of biochar (BC) prepared by slow pyrolysis vine pruning residues, which are produced in large quantities Romania, were evaluated. Three soil types, i.e., slightly alkaline fluvisol (S1), acidic chernozem (S2), and strongly luvisol (S3), with mean values pH 7.99, 6.26, 5.40, amended BC at a volumetric ratio between 20/80. A greenhouse experiment was performed for 109 days to assess the effects amendment on bell pepper growth. following treatments applied: foliar fertilizer, BC, + fertilizer (using two concentrations solution), control. Strongly (pH 9.89 ± 0.01) had significant positive effect growth performance plants sown S3. height, collar diameter, number leaves, root volume grown BC-amended S3 without treatment significantly higher (13–72% 14–33%, respectively) than those non-amended treatment. This beneficial plant due changes properties. increased (up eight times) electrical conductivity, pH, soluble phosphorus, potassium, ammonium nitrogen S3, decreased its bulk density 51%, resulting improved water/nutrient uptake performance. no favourable parameters S1, S2.

Properties of biochar derived from wood and high-nutrient biomasses with the aim of agronomic and environmental benefits
Biochar production and use are part of the modern agenda to recycle wastes, and to retain nutrients, pollutants, and heavy metals in the soil and to offset some greenhouse gas emissions. Biochars from wood (eucalyptus sawdust, pine bark), sugarcane bagasse, and substances rich in nutrients (coffee husk, chicken manure) produced at 350, 450 and 750°C were characterized to identify agronomic and ...
متن کاملEnvironmental benefits of biochar.
Understanding and improving environmental quality by reducing soil nutrient leaching losses, reducing bioavailability of environmental contaminants, sequestering C, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing crop productivity in highly weathered or degraded soils, has been the goal of agroecosystem researchers and producers for years. Biochar, produced by pyrolysis of biomass, may help at...
متن کاملVine Pruning for Efficient Multi-Pass Dependency Parsing
Coarse-to-fine inference has been shown to be a robust approximate method for improving the efficiency of structured prediction models while preserving their accuracy. We propose a multi-pass coarse-to-fine architecture for dependency parsing using linear-time vine pruning and structured prediction cascades. Our first-, second-, and third-order models achieve accuracies comparable to those of t...
